As a reflection of our ongoing commitment to sustainable and socially responsible business, Assent Compliance is pleased to announce it has officially become a Participant of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). This step is a manifestation of our determination to have an increasingly positive impact on our staff, stakeholders and wider community.

About the UN Global Compact

The UN Global Compact is the world’s most widely-supported voluntary corporate social responsibility initiative, encouraging businesses worldwide to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies, and to publicly report on their implementation. Launched in 2000, the Compact operates within the framework of 10 key principles relating to respect for human rights, labor standards, environmental stewardship and ethical governance.

Approximately 13,000 companies and organizations across 170 countries have signed on to the Compact thus far. Assent joins this growing number and, in doing so, commits to meeting fundamental responsibilities in the aforementioned core areas within our daily operations, culture and business strategy.

What does this mean for Assent?

As a Participant, Assent Compliance supports the Ten Principles of the UNGC on human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption, and commits to advancing these principles in its strategies, day-to-day activities and business relationships. In doing so, Assent also commits to taking action in support of broader UN goals, such as the Sustainable Development Goals.

Assent agrees to submit an annual Communication on Progress, which includes a signed CEO statement expressing continued support for the UNGC, and an annual CSR report describing the practical actions taken to implement the Ten Principles and a measurement of outcomes in the four key areas.

Assent’s commitment to CSR makes us an even more robust and stable partner for our clients, both today and in the future. We are happy to work side by side with you to advance our shared commitment to sustainable and socially responsible business, and encourage you to get in touch with us to let us know how we are doing.
