At Assent, innovation starts with one goal: Helping complex manufacturers turn supply chain data into business outcomes. Every quarter, we continue to evolve our software solutions so our clients stay ahead of new requirements, respond competitively to market demands, and build more resilient supplier programs.

This quarter’s updates are focused on scale. We’re helping manufacturers generate product-level carbon insights without months of manual work, making it easier for suppliers to complete requests and improving the way critical product compliance and responsible sourcing data is shared across the Assent Sustainability Platform. Together, these enhancements help customers get higher-quality data, drive supplier engagement, and move faster with more confidence.

What’s New This Quarter

Product Carbon Footprint Calculation

More customers, investors, and business partners are asking manufacturers for carbon insights at the product level. But for companies with thousands of parts, products, and suppliers, producing that information can be slow, expensive, and difficult to scale.

Assent’s Product Carbon Footprint solution is designed to help manufacturers generate baseline product carbon footprints across a portfolio without months of manual life cycle assessment work or separate tool use.

This allows teams to move from one-off carbon requests to a more scalable approach. Instead of starting from scratch each time a customer asks for carbon data, manufacturers can build a stronger baseline view across their product portfolio. That means faster responses, more transparency to drive customer outcomes, and more opportunities to win business where carbon transparency is becoming a buying requirement.

For leaders, this supports stronger sustainability reporting and customer trust. For product, compliance, and sustainability teams, it helps reduce manual work and gives them a clearer starting point for deeper carbon analysis.

Automated Part Matching for Suppliers

The Automated Part Matching feature uses AI-enhanced matching to help link customer requests to a supplier’s product catalog using available information from both parties.

For suppliers, this means less time spent manually reviewing and matching requests. They can complete requests faster, reuse more of the data they already have on hand, and reduce repetitive work.

For customers, this reduces the time it takes suppliers to complete declarations and increases instant responses. That means faster access to the supply chain data needed to support compliance, reporting, and customer commitments.

We’ve also improved high-volume manual part matching through an optimized spreadsheet import experience. This allows suppliers to link large volumes of customer requests to their product catalog at scale, instead of working through requests one by one.

Customer Request Overviews for Suppliers

New customer request overviews give suppliers a clearer way to track progress, identify priority actions, and understand the value of their work in Assent.

This makes request management faster and easier. Suppliers can see what needs attention, what’s moving forward, and where to focus next. For customers, that improved visibility supports stronger supplier engagement and more complete data collection.

Improved Full Material Declaration Experience for Suppliers

Full material declarations (FMDs) are critical for manufacturers that need detailed product composition data across multiple regulations. But if suppliers have to submit the same information again and again, fatigue increases and response quality can drop.

Assent’s improved FMD experience accelerates compliance by automatically using verified material data across multiple regulations. Suppliers can manage product compositions with reusable parts, materials, and substances, making it easier to submit complete and consistent information.

For customers, this can improve FMD submission rates, increase confidence in material data, and reduce supplier fatigue through more proactive, centralized submissions.

Other Key Updates

Metal Sourcing

Assent’s Metal Sourcing updates help customers manage risks tied to metals impacted by sanctions and trade restrictions. These improvements support a more adaptable approach to evolving sourcing requirements while reducing the need to send suppliers new surveys every time conditions shift.

PFAS Identification

Assent continues to support customers managing PFAS requirements across complex product portfolios with updated assessments and groupings. PFAS Identification helps manufacturers collect supplier data, identify potential PFAS risk, and prepare for evolving regulatory and customer expectations across their supply chains.

Conclusion

This quarter’s innovations reflect that supply chain sustainability management is becoming more connected, more scalable with automation, and more proactive. Manufacturers need tools that help them move faster without adding more manual burden to suppliers. They also need data they can trust across product compliance, sustainability, and responsible sourcing programs.

That is where Assent continues to lead.

From product carbon insights to improved supplier workflows and stronger declaration experiences, our latest updates are designed to help customers reduce risk, improve data collection, and respond with confidence to the demands of today’s market.

We’re excited to keep building the tools that turn supply chain challenges into competitive advantages.
