What is the Assent Sustainability Platform?

The Assent Sustainability Platform (ASP) is the new application/user interface that suppliers use to store and share their information with customers.

How does this impact suppliers’ existing SUPO experience?

This new experience will be suppliers’ single tool to see and access all client requests and interactions, eventually completely replacing their use of SUPO. That said, at this time, suppliers will still be directed to the SUPO for specific requests that are not currently fully integrated within the ASP application.

Do customers or suppliers pay for this new experience?

The ASP is currently free for suppliers to use. We allow them to respond to Assent customer requests, leverage support, access training services, and store declarations for free for unlimited users.

How do suppliers access the ASP?

Suppliers can access the ASP via a link to their web-based application – at which time, they will be prompted to sign-in. Unlike the SUPO experience today, the ASP link does not change per request and has unique profiles for each supplier with an easy-to-use and secure 3rd party authentication stack.

With this improved approach, we can further enhance the security of customers’ and suppliers’ data and provide a better user experience. It ensures requests are sent to the right person with a more comprehensive contact management process. Plus, it significantly improves the traceability of suppliers’ data, declarations, and customer requests.

In what scenario will a network contact still get sent to SUPO instead of ASP?

If the supplier organization is not linked to the network (i.e., no “green dot” in ASM), the supplier will be sent to SUPO rather than ASP.
