Quarterly Innovation Updates: See What’s New With Assent’s Products

By Echo Bell

At Assent, we’re continually investing in solutions that simplify your path to supply chain sustainability and product compliance. This quarter, we’re thrilled to share some of our most significant innovations yet — all designed to give you more time back, increase supplier collaboration, and help you stay ahead of complex regulatory demands.

Now Available: The Assent Sustainability Platform

After months of testing and collaboration with early access users, we’re proud to announce that the Assent Sustainability Platform is now generally available.

This launch marks a major milestone in our mission to improve transparency, collaboration, and efficiency across supply chains. Here’s what the new platform experience means for you:

For Customers

  • Stronger Supplier Relationships: Centralized, consistent workflows reduce fatigue and drive faster responses
  • Instant Data Access: Suppliers in the network can share declarations proactively — no more waiting for the information you need
  • Improved Data Visibility: Quickly see supplier compliance statuses and emerging risks
  • Faster Outcomes: Regulatory workflows are now more efficient, improving time to compliance

For Suppliers

  • More Time Back: Share published data once across multiple regulations and customers
  • Single-Step ESG & Product Declarations: Respond to ESG, Proposition 65, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, PFAS requests — all at once
  • Fewer Redundant Requests: If Assent already has the data, we suppress duplicate asks
  • Stronger Customer Relationships: Faster, more accurate responses lead to happier buyers
  • Improved Efficiency & Reputation: Respond quicker, build trust, and increase your market visibility

The Measurable Impact

  • During early access, suppliers saved 92% of their time on requests
  • Completed 13x more declarations with the same effort
  • Early access participants shared 4,730 part-regulation answers via just 367 workflows
  • Suppliers declared compliance 5x faster than industry benchmarks
  • Early users covered five regulations in one step, replacing the one-by-one approach

Module Enhancements to Support Regulatory Alignment

Staying ahead of evolving regulations is critical. That’s why we’ve updated several key solutions to ensure you’re covered with the most up-to-date regulatory intelligence.

Trade Classification & Country of Origin Updates

With shifting tariffs, sanctions, and trade agreements creating uncertainty in 2025, accurate trade data is more important than ever. Assent’s updated Trade Classification & Country of Origin solution helps you stay ahead with smarter, more flexible supplier data collection and new enhancements like:

  • Multiple Countries of Origin: Suppliers can declare up to seven countries per part and upload certificates for each — ideal for distributors or multi-source manufacturers
  • Live HS Code Lookup: Instead of a static spreadsheet, suppliers now access the World Customs Organization (WCO) site directly for the most current HS/HTS codes

HEDSL Module Now Available

The new Heavy Equipment Declarable Substance List (HEDSL) solution supports information exchange for regulated or declarable substances in heavy equipment. Developed with the input leaders across the heavy equipment and chemical industries, this solution:

  • Reduces supplier survey burden
  • Enhances transparency
  • Enables compliance across global markets
  • Is ideal for companies managing complex supplier networks in the industrial and heavy machinery sectors

EU REACH SVHC Solution Updates

This latest update aligns with the European Chemical Agency (ECHA)’s Candidate List, ensuring compliance with Article 33 of REACH. In addition to adding five new substances aligned with ECHA’s updates, suppliers can now identify substances of very high concern (SVHCs) above the 0.1% threshold at the article level, helping customers maintain compliance across the EU.

 TSCA Restrictions Solution Updates

This update reflects expanded restrictions under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). The solution now includes additional final rules from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), helping you identify and restrict substances deemed to pose unreasonable risk in all U.S. states, while accounting for scope-specific exemptions.

We’re excited about what’s ahead and we’re focused on helping you cut compliance red tape with a smarter, more connected program. Stay tuned for the next Innovation Spotlight, where we’ll continue to bring you the latest product updates from Assent!
