Winners were announced in late October. They received a $500 donation to a charity of their choice as well as exclusive Assent swag.


Cook Medical, a leader in the medical devices field, took a proactive approach to understanding and meeting all the requirements of sustainable compliance regulations they are in scope of. Their team launched ESG surveys to collect supplier data and benchmark maturity, and in 2025, they conducted a thorough double materiality assessment through Assent to identify impacts and risks in their value chain around ESG topics. Their enthusiastic approach to continuous learning, growth, and improvements in their supply chain has been a true testament to their commitment to sustainability best practices. Cook Medical has chosen to support the Piedmont Environmental Alliance with their awarded charitable donation.


At Visual Comfort & Co., Jorgen revamped supplier monitoring and manuals to ensure all suppliers thoroughly understood compliance requirements, and implemented new ways to monitor and support audits, ongoing engagement, and supplier training to maintain compliance. He reimagined the company’s ESG program, redefining sustainability from a compliance requirement into a shared principle that guides business decisions. Jorgen’s efforts are highly impactful, forward-thinking, and deeply embedded in how the organization operates. He has chosen to support the Environmental Working Group with their awarded charitable donation.


As a Product Compliance Expert, Jessica Chepp has played a pivotal role in advancing sustainability at Brunswick. By embedding best practices into complex global operations, developing division-level supplier governance reporting for better sustainability oversight, and educating internal teams to build long-term regulatory awareness, Jessica transformed fragmented supplier data into a streamlined, accurate foundation for responsible sourcing. She reduced supplier records from 11,000 to approximately 4,000, improving data quality, cutting waste, and influencing stronger internal data practices across business units. Jessica is driving meaningful, measurable change that supports Brunswick’s commitment to a sustainable future. She has chosen to support the Foster Kitten Project Nebraska with her awarded charitable donation.


Pure Fishing used Assent’s platform to gather PFAS, REACH, ESG, and TSCA information on more than 30,000 goods produced in eight different countries. With this information, they were able to accurately report on PFAS in their products and meet Canadian and U.S. requirements in 2025. Pure Fishing also received REACH information on more than 10,000 products, allowing proper reporting for over 260 previously unidentified items that contained SVHCs. Pure Fishing has chosen to support Purple Heart Homes with their awarded charitable donation.


Whelen Engineering Company’s program has shown impressive growth lately: from a basic program to running six campaigns over the course of two years, all conducted through Assent’s platform. Since they began this journey, Whelen’s team has reimagined their processes around Proposition 65. Additionally, Whelen has been able to greatly improve response times to their customers, and with greater accuracy. Whelen has chosen to support the Special Olympics Connecticut with their awarded charitable donation.
