Assent LLC is pleased to offer demo access to our state-of-the-art trading platform, ANVIL. Through the ANVIL Simulator, you can test trade in a real-time, simulated trading environment. You can test several of your equity trading strategies without actually opening an account and without risking any capital.
Though the ANVIL Simulator does not have all of the same functionality as trading live, it does nonetheless allow traders to evaluate the software and become familiar with the workings of hot keys or other special command keys.
This daily access is especially useful for developers as well as those who wish to train others on how to use ANVIL. Special requests can be made for alternative set ups, such as localized access to the Simulation Mode servers.

Through our ANVIL Simulator, you can test trade in a real-time, simulated trading environment. It's expressly designed to provide you with a means to test your equity trading strategies without actually opening an account and without risking any capital.
To provide you with as much of a realistic “trading environment” as possible, we’ve gone to considerable effort to create a unique data archiving engine which preserves the previous day’s market data stream. When you’re using the Simulator at say, 10:55 AM, our data archiving engine will show you market data corresponding to that exact same time frame from the previous trading day. Our ANVIL SIMULATOR is also available on weekends and holidays.
Using our Simulator, prospective Assent traders can utilize our platform and “test trade” with it, before, during and after market hours. The “test trades” you’ll create through the Simulator are completely simulated so that none of your trading capital is ever at risk.
It is important to realize that simulated trading is not necessarily the same as the real thing! Under actual market conditions your trading could result in a completely different outcome. However, simulated trading is a great way to familiarize yourself with our ANVIL trading platform and its corresponding Hammer back-end software. You can refer to our on-line ANVIL User's Manual for documentation about our trading system, including explanations for how to customize hot keys and how the various user configurable settings work.

To setup ANVIL using the canned data feed of the previous days market data, it will be necessary to change the IP address on your ANVIL settings.
1. Double click on the Shortcut to ANVIL.
When the login screen appears click the arrows at the bottom to expand the window and verify the following information.
Trader ID: ASNT
Password: money
Under the space for the Market Data IP Address, please verify 208.91.76.203 port 35100 is there along with the 5 Extra Market Data IPs at the bottom. Make sure Executor is checked and verify the following IP and port: 208.91.76.200 port 35001. Under Market Summary, please verify the following: 208.91.76.206 port 35199. Make sure that Simulation is checked (as shown in screen shot).
3. Click Login.
